A Perfect Platform for Hybrid Turbo Upgrades
The Maserati Ghibli SQ4 is already a unique blend of Italian style, luxury and performance — but with the right hardware, it becomes something truly special.
This latest project shows exactly what happens when the 3.0L Italian V6 meets a set of MuchBoost hybrid turbos.
The engine responded exceptionally well to the upgrade, delivering impressive numbers without sacrificing drivability or reliability.
Dyno Results: 551 HP & 743 Nm
Even more impressive is that these results were achieved using the stock fuel system.
Thanks to the efficiency of the new turbochargers and the engine’s strong base design, the Ghibli SQ4 produced:
- 551 HP
- 743 Nm of torque
These are standout gains for the F160 platform — proving this V6 has a lot of untapped potential.

Supporting Modifications
To complement the hybrid turbo upgrade, the car received several well-chosen performance parts:
- K&N high-flow air filters
- iPE Innotech Performance Exhaust system
- Larini Systems sport catalytic converters
This combination improved airflow, reduced exhaust backpressure, and ensured optimal turbo response across the rev range.
ECU Remap & Calibration
The final stage of the build was ECU calibration, carried out by:
- Performance Lab Chiptuning https://www.facebook.com/PerformanceLabChiptuning
Their tuning expertise helped extract the full potential of the setup, guaranteeing smooth power delivery, consistent boost control, and factory-like drivability.
A Strong Result from a Great Platform
This Maserati Ghibli SQ4 project demonstrates just how capable the F160 3.0 TT V6 is when paired with the right hybrid turbos.
Excellent numbers, strong response, and impressive performance — all while retaining the stock fueling system.
More exciting builds are already on the way. Stay tuned.
