Audi A4 B9 1.4 TFSI Build – From 150 HP to 276 HP with MuchBoost Hybrid Turbo

To kick off 2026, we are proud to present a unique project completed in Singapore. This Audi A4 B9, powered by the longitudinal EA211 1.4T engine, originally produced 150 HP. After a carefully executed build, the car now delivers 276 HP, almost doubling its factory output.
This project shows how much potential is hidden in smaller displacement engines when the right approach is taken. Instead of focusing on a single upgrade, the build was designed as a complete system where every component supports the final goal.
At the center of this transformation is the MuchBoost hybrid turbo upgrade for the EA211 1.4L engine. The turbo was engineered to increase airflow while maintaining OEM fitment, which allows for a seamless installation and factory-like integration. The result is noticeably stronger top-end power combined with fast spool and smooth daily drivability.
To support the turbo, the car received a full air to air conversion along with a high-performance front mounted intercooler rated for significantly higher power levels. A cold air intake improves airflow efficiency, while the water methanol injection system helps reduce intake temperatures and improve combustion under load.
The setup is completed with a performance downpipe, modified exhaust system, oil catch can and a custom external oil cooler to ensure stable operation during hard driving.
Handling and braking were also addressed. The upgraded braking system, improved suspension and chassis bracing allow the car to fully utilize the added power. ECU and TCU tuning ensure that all components work together smoothly.
This is a well-balanced build that transforms a daily driver into a much more engaging and capable car without sacrificing usability.
